When I can't roam I read about Gnomes!

The weather is getting cooler here in Texas but not cool enough for my taste. There is something about the fall that makes me want to jump into whimsical fits of baking spiced goods and reading kitschy finds! My Mamacita recently gave me a book from one of her thrift store adventures. Gnomes by Wil Huygen has a 30th Anniversary Edition hardcover and it is a true delight! Though my copy is paperback and cost a mere 5CENTS it is a new treasure to me.
I would love to be outside under a canopy of trees admiring a ferris wheel from a far and the sounds of a foreign land. Since I can't do so, I will be on my couch reading about the life and times of my favorite traveler, the Gnome.

Craft & Blog

It seems like the weekend is out of reach until Friday after lunch! All I can think of is crafting and down time. I've found that if I want to make a place for myself in the world of crafters I should blog about it. This is my first post and it might take me a while to get going so bear with me please. The picture above is the product of a screen printing class my BF and I took with Kathleen McTee. She has a great teaching style, attitude, and class selection! I would have never found her if it hadn't been for Rachel's blog. I love to subscribe to her feed! Now, back to the onesies--the pirate bandito is my brothers design brought to life by my BF and the cupcake is something I dreamed up. One day I'll have my own etsy shop but for now I'm just a customer. Get thee to a handmade shop!
